MLK thanks for showing me Dean Henry was correct. She gave me a small hammer made by the Amish. She said I needed to use that to build stuff my whole life and move away from the destructive rhetoric if I wanted to survive. When I read your letter you wrote while in jail I learned what commitment was really about. I learned that it was harder to be non-violent than violent and that victory takes many forms. I respect you and those like you a lot for the struggle and sacrifice- your patience- your wisdom and shared knowledge. You rought the cause forward for human equality and how to face inequality and it is up to us to carry on. 50% my cut of the sales on this go directly to organizations in inner cities across the U.S. or direct to successful Anti-violence orgs internationally.
"Freedom Is Not Free" was first coined by retired U.S. Air Force Colonel Ryan Gremillion of New Mexico Military Institute. The idiom expresses gratitude for the service of members of the military, implicitly stating that the freedoms enjoyed by many citizens in many democracies are only possible through the risks taken and sacrifices made by those in the military, drafted or not. The saying is often used to convey respect specifically to those who have given their lives in defense of freedom. "Freedom Is Not Free" is engraved into one wall at the Korean War Veterans Memorial, Washington, D.C.. There is a fountain in front of the memorial.

Celebrate those who fought to give us the right to speak our minds, learn and live without fear. It's easy to forget why we are having a BBQ or watching fireworks but some days we have to celebrate and remember why we can.
