Graphite Drawing Baseball T-Shirts

Pencil drawing. I used various Grades of Drawing Pencil and a Photograph of Crail taken whilst on Holiday in 2013. Crail is a fishing Village which is very popular with Visitors to Fife. It's scenic nature inspired the detail of this drawing which features a Coastal Path which was flanked by a rocky Shoreline. The Harbour, which is a working Harbour, lies on the other side of the turreted Tower in the Distance. I first visited Crail in the 1970s, and it remains as Scenic Today as it did 35+ Years ago... :)

Drawn using various Grades of Drawing Pencil, I used a Photograph taken whilst on holiday in Summer 2013 for reference. Crail is a Fishing village which is also very popular with Visitors. The Picture is looking toward the Harbour which lies on the other side of the turreted Tower in the distance. I first visited Crail in the 1970s, and Today it is just as Scenic.

Mockingbirds represent innocence and snapdragons represent deceit. So this image as a whole represents the destruction of innocence

The tiger portrait illustration is a stunning piece of artwork created using graphite and colored ink. Return to the Spot The second one of Estate ‘Oosterbeek’ this week. Yesterday’s was my graphite pencil drawing ‘Oosterbeek – 07-04-20’. I quite liked it and so I returned today, trying to shake off this corona blues. This time I chose a specific spot in the park where there is a bend in a brook running through it. I found the reflections of the tree just enough to give my drawing something extra. It gave me some rectangulars counterbalancing all things organic. They also avoid the scenery for becoming to clotted with medium toned subtle branches, leafs and grasses. This I always find very troublesome to deal with. In fact Spring can be a tedious season. Living in The Netherlands it’s imposssible to escape the legacy of Rembrandt and Vermeer. Surely not the inventors of chiaroscuro effects but they took lighting to another level. So no surprise there they are world famous. Consequently I became fascinated by the light too.

Not the first time that I drew this particular church. In 2015 I made a pastel. This time the angle was steeper. The effect of the light on the roof tiles and the zigzag pattern reminded me of the appearance of a jagged knife.
