It was inspired by one of the greatest horror movies from the 80's, The Thing. This is a fictional logo designed for the thule station (Norwegian station) from the movie the Thing. This is my take on a modern version of the Outpost 31 badge and how it would look if it were made today

The Thing did not play fair. Neither did the chess computer, allegedly.

Bleak, dark, and chilling, I wanted to convey the dread that is felt by every poor soul stranded at Outpost 31. The Thing is one of, if not my favorite film so I could not resist basing a design on it's iconic poster.

I know I'm human. And if you were all these things, then you'd just attack me right now, so some of you are still human. This thing doesn't want to show itself, it wants to hide inside an imitation. It'll fight if it has to, but it's vulnerable out in the open. If it takes us over, then it has no more enemies, nobody left to kill it. And then it's won.
