What Products Should I Offer?

You may already know that TeePublic offers a wide variety of products to sell your art on; but which ones work the best with your designs? 

It’s always a good idea to make sure your art is available for purchase on our best-selling products, like classic tees, hoodies, stickers, and mugs. These products are evergreen, meaning they consistently perform well! Keeping them enabled for your designs is a great way to set yourself up for success. 

For designs that have transparent backgrounds, you can pretty much guarantee your art will look good on every product!

Just make sure you’re selecting complementary background colors for each item, and that you’ve set up your zooming and centering appropriately. You can find information on how to use all the features of our uploader here!

Vertically-oriented designs really shine on phone cases and vertical tapestries:

While horizontal designs are especially gorgeous on horizontal tapestries and travel mugs:

Say your design has a background; while this can definitely still work on apparel, non-apparel items lend themselves super well to this kind of art. Phone cases, pillows, and totes all look fantastic with full-background designs splashed across them! 

Now that you have an idea of what kinds of products your design will look great on, you can focus on advertising those products to your fans! It’s a good idea to keep the current season as well as upcoming major events or holidays in mind when promoting your store and products. Almost back-to-school season? Travel mugs, pins, totes and stickers tend to see a boost then! Getting closer to Winter? You can bet that hoodies and crewnecks will be selling more than tank tops. Curating your shop to have only specific products is doable and some artists prefer it, though enabling all our options in your store is a great way to bring in passive income. When in doubt, it’s best to set up your designs to be available on all products, to maximize the chances that your customers will be able to find something that’s perfect for them.
