On my recent trip to Japan I was extremely inspired by the majesty of Mount Fuji! I decided to do "31 Views of Mt. Fuji" as my theme for this year's Inktober. All the paintings are done with Sumi Ink and are based on my photos that I took while in Japan ^-^ This is actually the view from the roof of the hostel we stayed at. It was quite a treat that we weren't expecting. We never stayed at a hostel before but it was spacious and clean, and very cozy. I wished we could have stayed longer, I could sit on that roof for the whole week haha

All the paintings are done with Sumi Ink and are based on my photos that I took while in Japan ^-^ We were there in mid-September but the weather was still hot. We were thrilled to find there were still plenty of flowers to oggle at. These ones were beautiful groupings of tiny, four-leafed purple flowers that I'm not quite sure what the name of is.
