“Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. You got that?” — Ash Williams
S-Mart was the department store that Ash and Linda worked at. Its slogan is: "Shop Smart. Shop S-Mart." S-Mart only appeared on film in the third installment of the Evil Dead trilogy, Army of Darkness, but it went on to become a major setting for the Army of Darkness comic books based of the Army of Darkness film published from 2004 to 2013. In the comics, it is shown that S-Mart is owned and managed by Mr. Smart, a large elderly man with thick glasses and a handlebar mustache.

It’s a dark object. Perhaps a skydiver. A second. A third… No parachute yet. Oh my God! They’re turkeys!” They’re crashing to the earth right in front of our eyes! One just went through the windshield of a parked car! This is terrible! Oh, the humanity! The turkeys are hitting the ground like sacks of wet cement! The crowd is running for their lives!”
