Mythology Hoodies
Description: This design originally came from an engraving by Hendrick Goltzius in 1588, which I have restored, redrawn, and digitized. The text reads: "NON AMBIRE PROBAT SAPIENS, SED LAVDAT HONORES, LAVDA CONTINGANT SI TAMEN ILLA PROBIS. SIC PHAETONTAEVS NIMIVM TEMERARIA LAPSVS VOTA DOCET TANDEN FINE CARERE BONO." Which roughly translates to: "The wise man demonstrates that he does not search for but appreciates the honors. And recognizes if happens to honest. Phaeton’s error shows that very frivolous requests ultimately do not have a good ending." Check out more of my art a
Description: In Greek religion and mythology, Pan is the god of the wild, shepherds and flocks, nature of mountain wilds and rustic music, and companion of the nymphs. He has the hindquarters, legs, and horns of a goat, in the same manner as a faun or satyr and is often associated with sexuality.
Description: This design depicts this monstrous canine from Northern European legend in a "Neo-Nordic" style. There are lots of traditional style knots and patterns woven together and given a contemporary edge. The colors are distressed to give the image the look of a gold or bronze artifact that was just dug up out of a Viking chieftains burial mound! The runes towards the bottom of the image says, "FENRIR."
Description: Cú Chulainn is one of the most famous of all Celtic Irish mythological heroes. He rose to fame from his exceptional skills at the Irish sport of Hurling. He then solidified his legend by killing the monstrous hound of Culann. Cú Chulainn is most famous for his great berserker rage in battle; turning himself into a giant rage monster that would slaughter men by the hundreds!
