Staten Island Hoodies
Description: 1849 Staten Island Express stamp. Founded by Francis Hagadorn, publisher of the ' Staten Islander ' newspaper, in 1849 the Staten Island Express Post operated a delivery system which included mail and packages. Respected and well run, the company ceased operation in 1851 when the United States Post Office opened ten offices on the island. I've uploaded the original red colored stamp as well as a white colored stamp which is my own variation.
Description: The Staten Island Stapletons, or Stapes, were an NFL team from 1929 to 1932. This (as far as I know) an authentic design for a team patch. The team was done in by the small size of their home stadium. The stadium did have one bonus though. The team owner also owned a speakeasy joined to the stadium and after home games the players would go there to share a drink with the fans.
