Description: The Mummy is a rousing, suspenseful and horrifying epic about an expedition of treasure-seeking explorers in the Sahara Desert in 1925. Stumbling upon an ancient tomb, the hunters unwittingly set loose a 3,000-year-old legacy of terror, which is embodied in the vengeful reincarnation of an Egyptian priest who had been sentenced to an eternity as one of the living dead.
Description: Back in 2016 I produced a series of portraits based on the classic monsters. This is the fifth piece. Boris Karloff's second most prominant role. The Mummy goes through two makeup designs in this film and it was difficult to choose which version to paint here. I chose his more human appearence in the end because you only see his Mummy form briefly in the film and that image has been done to death (no pun intended)

Description: The Mummy Design from Hellwood Outfitters is inspired by one of cinemas favourite monsters, appearing in numerous monster movie franchises from the 1930's up until the present day. Mummy movies are usually centered on an ancient Egyptian priest who is accidentally resurrected, bringing with him a powerful curse, and the ensuing efforts of heroic archaeologists to stop him.
