Water Lily Hoodies

Nothing portrays the beauty in the cycle of life quite so much as the birth, life, and aging of the lovely water lily. There are many lessons to be learned from this mud-born flower, not the least of which being the art of living gracefully.

This was done for MerMay 2018 and this was a fun drawing I enjoyed doing in markers and gel pen. I took a lot of liberties of what I wanted the theme. The mermaid color scheme Is based on the Asian Arowana and the flowers are cherry blossoms, water lilies, and lotuses

A place with polo fields nestled into a wide valley that is framed with mountains still covered with snow, while the hum of the race cars going by in the close distance sound like an angry swarm of bees.
