Introverts are known for not being particularly keen to take part in social events. This is not because we're shy, asocial (or anti-social as some say) or we don't like people. It's only because when we're exposed to too much of external stimulation, we're getting overwhelmed. Hence we're very selective about where we go and use our very limited energy. Don't be offended, if an introvert won't respond to your invitation for a big party, but be assured, that we'll be more than happy to meet in a small group or one-on-one and spend a quality time together.
