One classic Hollywood star. One famous portrait from art history. What would happen when you combine them together? In this collection of artworks I mix together the beauty of classic Hollywood stars and the beauty of the most famous art portraits. The search for the right pictures is never easy. It’s not just a matter of finding the “perfect angle”, but often a need to find that very same detail without which the artwork wouldn’t be the same. Drafts are endless, but the end result always pays off the hard work: fascinating, beautiful, mesmerizing, hypnotic, just plain weird…you name it. Each mashup adds a new level of perception to faces and paintings we are all familiar with, in the effort to enhance their timeless beauty.

What started out as a hasty memorial that I threw out on Instagram turned into a sticker and was then polished up enough to be printed at poster size. Now I've redesigned, improved and expanded it so that it looks fabulous across a whole range of wares :)
