The 35th "Paratroopers" Brigade, a component of the Israel Defence Forces (IDF), specializes in airborne infantry and plays a significant role in the Infantry Corps of the Israeli Ground Forces. The 933rd "Nahal" Brigade, established in 1982, is a key infantry brigade of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). It has played pivotal roles in major conflicts, including the First and Second Lebanon War and the First and Second Intifada. The brigade, identified by its light green berets, is formed from regular draftees and soldiers from the Nahal group, combining social volunteerism, agriculture, and military service. Operating on volatile borders and territories, it conducts patrol, observation, counter-terrorism, riot control, and tactical assault support to police operations. The brigade has faced historical challenges, including a tragic friendly-fire incident in 1982 and notable incidents during conflicts like the 2023 Israel–Hamas war.
