Description: After 62 years of business, Lee’s Liquor Lounge is shutting down. Once a small corner bar, Lee’s has evolved over the years and become a popular hangout spot for music fans of all kinds — as well as, in recent years, Twins fans attending games at nearby Target Field. On any given day Lee’s Liquor Lounge is filled with people listening to music, dancing, and supporting the venue.

Description: The Continental Bar in Manhattan’s East Village first opened as a live music bar way back in 1991 and played host to legendary NYC punk rockers, but in 2006 the stage was replaced with leather booths which started a clear path to living out its remaining days as a dive bar. The single biggest draw was probably the “5 shots of anything for $10 deal” which ran counter to the owner’s attempts at making it a “classy dive bar.” Nonetheless, location goes a long way in business and despite all kinds of bad press and equally bad reviews, it was packed almost every night until it’s final demise at the end of 2018.
Description: Centennial Liquor Store was one of Austin's longest continuously operating retail businesses and a local favorite as a result. Aside from being the go-to spot for liquor, beer, and wine in town, most people will know it from its appearance in the 1993 film, Dazed and Confused. in the movie, it shows up after Melvin asks if Mitch can “run over to the Centennial over there and pick me up a sixer.” Mitch proceeds to play it cool while buying beer at the liquor store across from the Emporium. Of course, that was the movie version of things as the actual Centennial liquor store was located at 6534 N Lamar Blvd and not across the street from the Emporium, but it has since been demolished.

Description: Krieg und Friedena (war and peace) brand Kräuterlikör was first produced in 1937 and quickly became a popular brand both at home in Germany and abroad. Kräuterlikör is an herbal or spiced liqueur, also known as "half-bitters" that is traditionally served neat as a digestif. In contrast to bitters, they have a higher sugar content, expressed as invert sugar, and typically contain 15% to 44% alcohol by volume. Mixtures of alcohol and bitter substances were used as medicine to increase bile and gastric acid secretion; however, the higher proportion of alcohol and sugar is not conducive to digestion. Nowadays, Kräuterlikör is also served as an ingredient of different cocktails and long drinks, though Kräuterlikör dates back to the Middle Ages.
