Original illustration, hand drawn by me Richard Stelmach as part of my Daily Orange series. The Orangutan is a beautiful creature which spends most of its time in the trees by itself. It is highly intelligent, which is probably why it knows spending most of its time in the trees by itself is a good idea and unlikely it would find other animals intellectually stimulating enough to make it worthwhile conversing with. It could be imagined that the orangutan spends many hours philosophising atop of the canopy. Orangutans are also good at swearing at people, riding in a truck and slapping faces as shown in Every Which Way but Loose, alongside Clint Eastwood or evolving into humanoid intellectuals as shown in The Planet of the Apes. Sadly our depictions don't quite do the beautiful animals justice. Recently a famous orangutan who knew 150 signs, died. It would refer to other orangutans as "orange dogs". If an orangutan says they are orange, who is to argue. There are only two types of orangutan left, the one drawn here is a Bornean Orangutan which has large flanges on its face. Only around 40,000 orangutans are left due to human self destruction. Perhaps we aren't so clever after all.

Sadly orangutans are dying.. but there is a way to help them if we all do something about it and spread the word: do not purchase any products containing palm oil and, if you do, purchase only certified sustainable palm oil (RSPO and Green Palm label). Unfortunately palm oil is quite everywhere and you will probably find it in many products that you have at home, like your shampoo, ice cream, detergent, cookies, chocolate, biodiesel, soap, packaged bread, margarine, instant noodles, pizza dough, etc. It is the most widely consumed vegetable oil on the planet because it’s extremely versatile and cheap to grow. Luckily there are many alternatives without palm oil or with sustainable palm oil! For example instead of nutella you could buy Gepa Cocoba or Rigoni di Asiago Nocciolata. It’s in our hands!

After haranguing about loser companies who sell out America by outsourcing jobs to China, Trump was caught by Letterman with his ties made in China. But the entire clothing line was still made in China years later when Trump announced for President!

OranguTrump claims we can build a wall and solve all our problems. It won't happen. Most undocumented immigrants are those who enter legally and overstay their visas. I would not be surprised if the recipient of the $25 billion building contract was the Trump family.
