"Born Independent, Browncoat by choice." Browncoats were soldiers who fought for the Independent Planets, who lost to the Union of Allied Planets in the Unification War. They were named after the simple, brown leather trench coats they wore as uniforms. After the war's end, clothiers made good money dyeing brown coats blue or gray as folks wanted to forget the past. Those that still wear the brown do it on purpose. This Firefly shirt features Malcolm Reynolds at the Battle of Serenity Valley, defiantly hoisting the flag of the Independent Planets into the sky and celebrates the defiance of these underdogs against the mighty Union of Allied Planets. The imprint on this shirt features a halftone screen printed effect, giving it just enough vintage to make it unique.

I’m disrespectful to dirt! Can you see that I am serious? Get out of my way, all of you. This is no place for loafers. Join me or die – can you do any less? I STRONGLY recommend a 1) Pink or 2) Light Blue shirt for this art.
