The national flag of Brazil, often colloquially called the Auriverde (The Gold and Green), is a blue disc depicting a starry sky spanned by a curved band inscribed with the national motto, within a gold rhombus, on a green field. Brazil officially adopted this design for its national flag on November 19, 1889, replacing the flag of the Empire of Brazil. The concept was the work of Raimundo Teixeira Mendes, with the collaboration of Miguel Lemos, Manuel Pereira Reis and Décio Villares.

Inspired by the 1964 musical Man of La Mancha. Drawn in the backstage of my high school's production (I was Padre Perez c:). The walls represent the prison the play takes place in (There's a play in the play, so if you get a ticket it's like 2 for 1), inspired by our own set. Don Quixote is riding his horse and fighting the windmill, while wearing the Golden Helmet of Mambrino (a shaving basin).
