Description: Jay & Silent Bob found out, in Dogma, to their dismay, that the Chicago suburb-town of Shermer, Illinois, was actually an entirely fictional place, dreamed up by the master of the 80s teen comedy/drama - John Hughes. Many of the films he wrote or directed were set in the same fictitious universe. In a 1999 interview he revealed the scale of this "Shermer-verse". 15 years worth of notebooks detailed how Ferris Bueller (FB's Day Off) was friends with Sam Baker (16 Candles), John Bender (The Breakfast Club) lived three doors down from Del Griffiths (Planes, Trains & Automobiles) and so on. Description: Jay and Silent Bob are the quintessential characters of the View Askewniverse, created by Kevin Smith. They are depicted as the only characters that have appeared in every Askewniverse film, with the exception of a few other projects. Their characters are known for their comedic relief and their ability to drive the plot or deliver key thematic messages. Jay is characterized by his long blonde hair and his tendency to use crude and offensive language, while Silent Bob is known for his long dark hair, beard, and backwards baseball cap. They are often seen loitering outside the Quick Stop Groceries and engaging in various misadventures.
Description: My entry to the TeePubic Jay and Silent Bob Competition. Inspired by Kevin Smith's characters of Jay and Silent Bob (Obviously), but more importantly their superhero alter ego's "Bluntman and Chronic". Featuring a style based on the cover art of Batman's classic "Death in the Family" I love how this turned out.
