I have always loved dragons and am glad that it is currently year of the dragon. In Chinese culture, dragons represent power, wisdom, luck, and strength. During Lunar New Year parades, people often wear a long dragon puppet and march around the streets. This is called a dragon dance. "

Nowruz has Iranian and Zoroastrian origins; Yet it has been celebrated in many other countries such as :Turkey, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, etc. Norouz or Persian new year is an ancient and the most important celebration of year for Iranians. Persian calligraphy is a delight to the sight and cherishes the eyes. It's noble and the letters are softly curved in each word, you won't find such a beauty everywhere. The poet of this poem, Omar Khayyam, was a Persian mathematician, philosopher, and poet. His poetry is better known in the West than any other non-Western poet.
