Created digitally. Pop art design of Muay Thai Boxer. Thai boxing, or Muay Thai, is a combat sport of Thailand. It is known as the ‘science of eight limbs’ as it combines strikes from fists, elbows, knees and shins. Thai boxing can be traced back to the 18th century, when the Burmese captured the Siamese warrior, Nai Khanomtom, and gave him a chance to fight for his freedom. Nai Khanomtom Knocked out 10 Burmese contenders, and was released. Shortly after, Siamese boxing, later known as Muay Thai, became a national sport.
