I’m a lizard woman from the dawn of time, and this is my wife.

Once upon a time there were two beautiful girls and a clone that looks a bit like a potato, and they were each assigned very hazardous duties. But I took them away from all that and now they work for me. My name is the Doctor.

This is one of my favorite paintings, partly because you don’t have to be a Whovian to appreciate the Victorian portrait of Jenny Flint, a super hero member of the Paternoster Gang. I got the inspiration from a scene in which Jenny was posing for Madame Vastra (Jenny’s wife) who stood at an easel, appearing to paint. Much to Jenny’s dismay, Madame Vastra was actually working on a case instead of painting. I decided that Jenny’s pose shouldn’t go to waste, so I gave her the painting that she deserves. Also, Jenny kicks ass. I freaking love her.
