For me, along with the majority of Westmore High School, Padme was that girl that was totally out reach. She was the girl you would never even have a remote chance of talking to, but you always imagined what you would say if the occasion ever came about. To say that she was out my league would be an understatement. She was playing a different game entirely. She and her group of friends were the untouchable class of the school. The way they walked around school, you would think that they were some type of intergalactic royalty, completely unsoiled by grit of the real world that existed outside of high school. At our graduation, I was rushing out of the bathroom after hearing the line-up call from the vice principal. My fly wasn't even up yet when I came out of the door and slammed straight into Padme, knocking both of our caps off and sending onto the ground. I remember looking up at her and seeing how beautiful she looked with her makeup done for the ceremony. I picked up her cap from the ground next to me and held it up to her. As I tried to put on some type of awkward charm, I smiled and said, "Sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going.". She ripped her cap out of hands and said, "I could tell, you fucking freak." She walked away from me, leaving me on the ground, my graduation gown flipped above my pants, my open fly exposed for the entire class of 1998 to see. Those words were the first and only words Padme ever said to me. I never saw her again, but I haven't forgot the beautiful hate that spread across her perfect face as she insulted me.

Inspired by my extensive collection of both traditional and creative Kokeshi, blended with my love of nerd culture, I offer this design inspired by Rey, Ahsoka Tano, Princess Leia, Queen Amidala and Jyn Erso from Star Wars The Force Awakens, Star Wars Rebels and Clone Wars, Star Wars IV-VI, Star Wars I-III, and Rogue One in the style of Japanese Kokeshi dolls by myself, Danica Bergagnini.

Queen Amidala is not only good at having decoys, she's good at eating decoys too! Once this Velociqueen transforms, she likes to eat the weak annoying ones first. Qui-gon Jinn saved Jar Jar, but the Velociqueen will get the job done right and darth maul Jar Jar Binks to pieces!

“The Force is strong in my family” he said…indeed. This picture is dedicated to Padme…Her story as a great policitian and tragic lover breaks my heart everytime. Her love will protect Leia and Luke forever, across the stars <3
