"Looks like you've had a bit too much to think!" says the Mustachioed THINKPOL officer as he walks up to Winston in a stern voice. Winston must have must have forgotten to hide the disgust and loathing in his eyes, because the large man in black moved closer still, his eyes hiding behind mirrored aviator-styled sunglasses. "You have something to say, sir?" His voice menacing now. "No sir! No." Winston chirps nervously, averting his eyes as much as possible. Very well, then. Let's move along." The oficer's voice calms somewhat to a dulled, professional cadence. "Remember, closed minds stop thought crimes. Let's move along." Illustration by Dan McCall. Inspired by George Orwell's novel Nineteen Eighty Four.

Libertas is the goddess that the Statue of Liberty is based on. This is our interpretation. Wearing a pilus hat - they symbol of a freed slave, holding a defensive shield, wings of freedom, a scroll of knowledge, and a spear to keep the bad guys far away. There's also traditionally a serpent at Libertas' feet. So he's there too.

Leo Tolstoy may have written the best novel of all time, but even more remarkable is that he had 13 children and wrote the greatest novel of all time. I have three children, and I can barely write a blog post. Props, Leo. Props.

Tank Man (AKA The Unknown Rebel) was of course the anonymous hero who was seen during the protests at Beijing's Tienanmen Square on June 5, 1989 stopping Chinese T59 tanks as they rolled down Chang'an Avenue. No one knows what happened to Tank Man. Many think he was dragged off by Chinese secret police and executed along with so many others. This common man's actions, however, emboldened millions to stand athwart tyranny. The original images that came from this heroic act entranced the World. Charlie Cole's photo of Tank man was awarded as one of the 100 photos that changed the World.

Ron Paul is a legend. The guy was and will be on the right side of history on just about every issue. You could usually judge who was the biggest asshole on Capitol Hill by who hated Ron Paul. About as reliable a litmus test as there is in DC.
