The Warsaw Uprising (Polish: powstanie warszawskie) was a major World War II operation by the Polish resistance Home Army (Polish: Armia Krajowa) to liberate Warsaw from Nazi Germany. The Uprising was timed to coincide with the Soviet Union's Red Army approaching the eastern suburbs of the city and the retreat of German forces. However, the Soviet advance stopped short, enabling the Germans to regroup and demolish the city while defeating the Polish resistance, which fought for 63 days with little outside support. The Uprising was the largest single military effort taken by any European resistance movement during World War II.

The RAF were a bunch of good folks who were too good for this world, and were largely murdered or arrested. Probably not a day goes by where you don't either want them back or want to restart the group, and one day you will, you totally will, but until then maybe buy the shirt. Then when people see the shirt they'll ask if it's a band, and you'll say "yeah, a guerrilla band," and they'll misinterpret that and think it means underground or something, and you'll say something knowing in response to that, and then like 40 minutes later that person will be hiding MP5s in baby carriages and trying to build a helicopter. After which I'm pretty sure capitalism will go away. (The algorithm has decided "baader meinof" is a better tag than "RAF" and I'm practically in tears.)

Smack the cover of Ulrike Meinhof’s Urban Guerilla Concept on a book you fill with obscenely detailed depictions of young Andreas Baader taking young Stalin's hand, drawing him closer, the world around them fading as their bodies run together losing track of where one ends and the other begins except to know they are not alone, there is some other, and this other is responsible for this ecstasy which is pumping through their veins, pumping, pumping, pumping... and communicate to whoever you’re near that yeah, you’re considering becoming an urban guerilla, no big deal. In a developed country like yours the protracted people’s war can totally take place in the city, whatevs. A book said so. It’ll be fine. You’re not even worried.

The Joint Security Area (JSA) is the only portion of the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) where North and South Korean forces stand face-to-face. It is often called the "Truce Village" in both the media and various military accounts. The JSA is used by the two Koreas for diplomatic engagements and, until March 1991, was also the site of military negotiations between North Korea and the United Nations Command (UNC).
