In the early 1960s, communist military strength and firepower in Vietnam increased. As a result, PACAF began a buildup in the area with the addition of troops and better arms and equipment. In response to what has become known as the Gulf of Tonkin incident in 1964, Tactical Air Command pilots and support personnel found themselves deployed from the CONUS to PACAF bases such as Da Nang Air Base and Phan Rang AB in South Vietnam. New from Dietz Dolls Pinup Photography, the first in a series of 1940s Nose Art style pinups! Harking back to the days of the US Army Air Force during World War 2 when pinups adorned the nose of fighter and bomber aircraft, this design captures a fictional nose of what have actually been during the war. This design features Crystal and a Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress. This started out as two photographs of a model in a studio and the aircraft actually flying which were then put through various proprietary techniques to achieve a 1940s pinup art look.

A shirt often worn by pilots of the 181st Fighter Group when they are off duty and out of uniform. You served with distinction in the 181st Fighter Group, under Major Baron Soontir Fel. You are among the elite of the elite Imperial pilots. You earned your bloodstripes slaughtering Rebel scum and you continue to do so with alarming ease. You fight for family, for peace and for your Emperor. But most of all, you fight for the men and women flying on your wing. This elegantly simple design is perfect for hardcore Star Wars fans. Complete with Aurebesh text, this design screams “nerd cred”. Sure to impress people at your next convention, RPG session, or even just casual Friday at the office.
