Facing Extinction: Global Warming’s Not Cool T-Shirt

A baby TURTLE’S gender depends on the temperature of the sand where the eggs are laid. The warmer areas produce female turtles. With climate change, more females than males will hatch. CORAL REEFS support over a quarter of all life under the sea. Corals produce brightly colored chemicals as a kind of sunscreen against fatally high water temperatures and sun exposure. This “coral fluorescence” is a final line of defense before the coral dies and bleaches to white.
