A generation of TV viewers have grown up hiding behind sofas and under cushions from the Doctor's scariest enemies, peering with squinted eyes through parted fingers, too terrified to look but too engrossed to look away. I hoped to capture this paradoxical fear and fun in this nostalgic design.

Last Fall the music of Doctor Who was presented at The Proms at the Royal Albert Hall. During the performance (which can be heard on Youtube) the Murray Gold piece “Song for Fifty” – a tribute to the 50th Anniversary was premiered. this piece is based on some of the words from this song.
