The gay community of the 60s and 70s had Dorothy Gale (Judy Garland) to be a friend of. The 80s and 90s had Dorothy Zbornak (Bea Arthur). But what of the younger generation? The 00s and 10s? The new millennials? Well, they have Dory (Ellen DeGeneres), a shortened form of Dorothy. And this time, Dor(oth)y is one of us!

Queer folk aren’t just myths, legends, or divas. Some actually write books that people of all sorts read. These are a sampling of these authors, each represented by one of their most well-known works. If you’ve read some of them – great! Read more. Or better yet, write something that will make you a recognized queer author!

To the queer community, Judy Garland’s Dorothy Gale from ‘The Wizard of OZ’ was one of the first true Divas. Before Cher, Barbra, Madonna, or Lady Gaga, to be gay meant you were a ‘Friend of Dorothy’. Flash forward a nearly half a century. A new generation (and the older) found another Dorothy to call friend. Bea Arthur’s Dorothy Zbornak called to us, her blunt stare made it clear that she wasn’t going to take your sh*t. She was strong, confident, and fierce – long before that became a common term in our community. Celebrate your love for BOTH Dorothy Gale and Dorothy Zbornak with this original design. And thank you for being a friend of TECHNOQueer, too!

Cross-platform means applying a bios or program between devices that normally aren't compatible. Transgender people are Cross platform in that we are trying to make being the opposing sex work while we are stuck gender we aren't comfortable with.

We are born this way, even if sometimes who we are on the inside doesn’t match our outsides. Continuing with TECHNOQueer’s use of nature to invoke pride in one’s self, we proudly offer this unique and original interpretation of transgender pride.

While the older queers have Dorothy Gale (Judy Garland), the younger generations have their own Dorothy to idolize. She’s tough, stands up for herself and others, and has a snarky bite. Dorothy Zbornak (Bea Arthur) from ‘Designing Women’ is who every gay boy hopes to grow up to be. As if they could ever have a deep voice like hers.

In mid-June of 2015, a woman who has some homemade rainbow solar light jars in her front yard, got a note from an anonymous neighbor. This person condemned her for having a ‘relentlessly gay’ yard and threatened to call the police. But the term “relentlessly gay” became a viral sensation. This is one of TECHNOQueer’s designs. This is not safe for work.

In the future, there was never a question whether queers were allowed to serve in Star Fleet. The only thing that mattered was that you believed in the mission of Star Fleet and would uphold its values and follow the Prime Directive.

Queer men and women have always been a part of this country, even if they couldn't be open about it. Celebrate with pride our freedom to be who we know we are. We're still here. We're still queer. About time this nation got the message.

Queer pride re-imagined. Being gay is as natural as trees. So why not reflect that in our pride for ourselves? Scan a leaf, replicate it, then apply each of the six colors of the Gay Pride Flag to the copies. Make a nice pinwheel formation with them, and emblazon each with the word PRIDE. The result is a beautiful way to express pride in one’s self.

Judy Garland. Diva and gay icon. Her portrayal of Dorothy in The Wizard of OZ won more than just the hearts of queers; she won their gratitude and dedication. Because so many gays associated OZ with a better world, where they saw her as a beacon to that far off land. A land of TechnoColor, emeralds, witches (and green-faced bitches), and just plain fabulousness. Judy’s death may have been a trigger for the infamous Stonewall Riots, considered by many to be the start of the modern gay rights movement.

Celebrate freedom and pride all in one shot. Colorful fireworks highlight this original design. Rainbow colored PRIDE and American flag-colored Independence Day come together to celebrate the basic precepts of this country. That we are all equal, with the inalienable right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Remember, gay means happy… This design works best on black background. Fireworks in the middle of the day just don't look as bright or as cool as after dark.

If you've spent any time in Atlanta, you know that the planes from Hartsfield-Jackson buzz low over the city almost as often as the torpedo-sized mosquitos buzz you in the backyard. This is a replica of a vintage design, planes over the cityscape, with a retro-vibe. Remember those fond times you had in underground atlanta? driving to a braves game through grant park? having a sandwich in cabbagetown? waiting in line behind 100 strollers in decatur? driving as fast as you can through buckhead so you dont have to f-k with that sh-t? going to pick berrys in castleberry hill? parking in inman park? counting the points in little 5 points? or little five points for those who like to spell out numbers instead of hitting the numeric key? let's go to the drive-in on moreland - get your ATL swag today! Enjoy!

Let people know the Gaydar is strong in you. That in one look, you know. Even if you don't have a finely attuned "sixth sense" about who's queer, at least they'll know you are! This design is based on the face of Divine, the demi-goddess of queerdom. Or just the drag mother of raunch. Since the most-recognized photo of her was in that slimming (ha!) red dress, we chose that as the default color. Feel free to choose whatever color tickles your fancy.
