This is the Ageha Cho (揚羽蝶) mon, meaning "swallowtail butterfly". Mon (紋), also known as monsho (紋章) or kamon (家紋), are Japanese emblems used to decorate and identify an individual, a family, or an institution or business entity (e.g. Mitstubisi logo). Japanese Mon are similar to the badges and coats of arms in European heraldic tradition, which likewise are used to identify individuals and families. Mon are often referred to as crests in Western literature.

This is the Kusa to Hana no Maru (草と花の丸) mon, meaning "Circle of Grass and Flower".

Dieu et mon droit, meaning "God and my right" is the motto of the Monarch of the United Kingdom outside Scotland. It appears on a scroll beneath the shield of the version of the coat of arms of the United Kingdom. The motto is said to have first been used by Richard I (1157–1199) as a battle cry and presumed to be a reference to his French ancestry and the concept of the divine right of the Monarch to govern. It was adopted as the royal motto of England by King Henry V (1386–1422) with the phrase "and my right" referring to his claim by descent to the French crown.

This is the Torii Sasa (鳥居笹) mon, meaning “Torii bamboo”, featuring two sparrows in Sasa bamboo (broad leaf bamaboo), the name of Torii bamboo came from the Torii family (Torii Mototada, retainer of Tokugawa Ieyasu) who used this mon as their family crest.
