OASIS (Ontologically Anthropocentric Sensory Immersive Simulation) is a MMOSG (massively multiplayer online simulation game) created by James Halliday and Ogden Morrow of Gregarious Simulation Systems (GSS), formerly known as Gregarious Games. It completely revolutionized the entire world of gaming and made up for all of GSS' 10-or-so years of lost revenue they spent creating it. This is the vintage version of my Oasis design which is based on the actual logo type used in the latest Ready Player One trailer.

Ready Player One is a 2011 science fiction novel written by American author Ernest Cline as his debut. The story, set in a dystopian 2044, follows protagonist Wade Watts on his search for an Easter egg in a virtual reality game, the discovery of which will lead him to inherit a fortune in a world wrecked by an energy crisis. Cline sold the rights to publish the novel in June 2010, in a bidding war to the Crown Publishing Group (a division of Random House). The book was published on August 16, 2011. An audiobook was released the same day; it was narrated by Wil Wheaton, who was mentioned briefly in one of the chapters.Ch. 20 In 2012, the book received an Alex Award from the Young Adult Library Services Association division of the American Library Association[5] and won the 2012 Prometheus Award.

It completely revolutionized the entire of gaming and made up for all of GSS' 10-or-so years of lost revenue they spent creating it. It costs only 25 cents to use and operate, as well as buy, but in-game vending, teleportation, fuel, and almost everything else costs real-world money, which was represented by game money, or "credits."

I din't know about you, but I'm tired of corporate losers trying to find those keys, and I really need a T-Shirt to say so for me, because I am a little socially awkward and not much fun at parties. Plus I saw someone else wearing one and it went great with their bag. Oh, did you read that post on that message board about what they're doing in sector 10? I was gonna go, but my dad cut my Oasis feed because I told him he doesn't get me and he could eat a raw, live porcupine for all I care. So anyway, um, buy one, or whatever.

Gregarious Simulation Systems, otherwise known as GSS, is the company that produces and operates the OASIS. GSS started out as a company called Gregarious Games in the 1980s, created by James Donovan Halliday and Ogden Morrow. The company was a huge success from its inception to the age of Wade Owen Watts. This version of the GSS design is new and clean, but if a vintage treatment to give it a true old-school look like you've had it since the 80s is more your thing, I've got one of those in my shop as well, so check it out!
