There may be an end of an era at Paramatown mall but you can keep that era alive with this tremendous shirt. Parmatown mall originally opened as a shopping plaza in 1956. It was enclosed by the mid-1960s. The original anchors were Higbee's and May Company. In 1967 General Cinema opened the Parmatown Theater with two screens, which was unheard of at the time. A third screen opened in the 1970s, along with two more in the 1980s. General Cinema closed the theater in 2001. Higbee's (which became Dillard's in 1992) closed in 2000. The mall was renovated in the early 2000s, which included the demolition of the old Higbee's structure which was then replaced with a Walmart in 2004. In 2012 Macy's (originally May Company) announced the store would close. A project announced in 2015 would see the entire mall converted to an open-air center with the malls interior being demolished for store fronts.

Relive the glory days of the real king of Akron Ohio...Rolling Acres Mall. Rolling Acres mall opened in Akron, Ohio with Sears and 21 stores on August 6, 1975. JCPenney opened a year later as a second anchor. A new wing was added in 1977, including a third anchor store, Montgomery Ward. Further expansion in 1978 added a new two-story wing called the Promenade, which included a food court called “Prom-N-Eat” (later renamed “Picnic Place”) and local chain O’Neil’s as a fourth anchor. The mall was foreclosed in June 2016. As of October 2016, demolition of the mall had begun with full demolition on the property expected to be complete by October 2017.

Westland Mall opened in February 1969 and was one of four directionally-named shopping centers in Columbus. The original anchor stores were Lazarus, Sears, and JC Penney. Westland was considered a major landmark in the Columbus area, and a premier shopping destination for the city's far west side. Westland Mall faced many challenges towards the end of the 90's, in particular the opening of the nearby Mall at Tuttle Crossing. At that time JCPenney also left Westland for Tuttle, giving Tuttle four anchor stores and reducing Westland to two. Macy's closed in 2007, leaving Sears as the sole remaining anchor. By 2010, Westland contained fewer than 15 active businesses and one major anchor. In 2011 Sears closed it's entrance to the mall and by 2012 Westland Mall was reported as closed to all traffic. In 2017, Sears announced that it would close by early September, which will leave the former mall entirely empty of tenants.
