We woke up, watched the Macy's parade, surrounded by the sounds of prepping dinner, followed by March of the Wooden Soldiers on CH 11 PIX, and then the MAIN event - The WOR-TV Ch 9 Holiday Film Festival!! It meant King Kong movies on Thursday - the OG Mighty Joe Young , King Kong, & topped off by Son of Kong! Then on Friday (before it was called Back Friday), since we were off from school, we got GODZILLA movies, some years more than others. In 1977, we enjoyed King Kong Escapes, King Kong vs Godzilla, & Godzilla vs the Smog Monster! This design is based on an ACTUAL TV Guide advert, though the visuals are from '76 & the schedual is from '77! Happy Thanksgiving!
