So, growing up I knew of two different famous men with the same name. Mike Myers, the comedian and actor best known for "Wayne's World" and ,of course, the "Austin Powers" movies. Then, there is Michael Myers, the serial killer in the "Halloween" movies. When I first saw a Halloween VHS tape with the name Michael Myers on it as a kid, I was confused for a few seconds. I thought, "Does Mr. Myers have a night job I don't know about? I thought he was a comedic actor." Well, I found out they were two completely different people. One is fictional and the other is not. So, from this memory, I was inspired to create this design. Because Myers character, Austin Powers, is known as the "International Man of Mystery", I thought that I could play on words for the killer Michael Myers and thus "National Man of Misery" was created! I mean, he looks miserable and causes misery for others, so I thought it would be an appropriate fit for him! The design also has another one of my original woodcut block prints of Michael Myers. I really hope you enjoy it!

This design continues to illustrate my passion for horror movies. It is an ode to Wes Craven's "Nightmare on Elm Street." The design has one of my original woodcut block prints of the notorious Freddy Krueger. I scanned the block print, and placed in on a t-shirt format with other graphic elements. The concept behind this shirt is humorous. The Elm Street neighborhood is basically terrorized by Freddy Krueger, so naturally I decided to create a fictional neighborhood watch for Elm Street. This is humorous because really the only way you can see Freddy is if you are asleep. This concept is also symbolic of the parents of Elm Street who took a stand against Krueger before he became the dream killer. I hope you enjoy it!
