1970 Valiant VG rear end. The Valiant VG was a facelifted version of the Valiant VF with a restyled front grille and rectangular headlights. From the A-pillar back, the two-door hardtop remained the same as the VF Valiant/U.S Dodge Dart. The VG range featured a newly introduced Australian built "Hemi" six cylinder engine which was claimed by Chrysler to be the most advanced engine of its kind in the world. The Pacer budget performance model carried on from the previous VF model, but came with the 245 cu in hemi six, replacing the 225 cu in slant six. The E34 spec Pacer featured many "go-faster" goodies, including a four barrel carburettor on a long-runner manifold feeding the inline six.
