Description: Despite literally being front and center of the fictional waterfront town of Cabot Cove, Cabot Cove Boat Works only takes the spotlight in one episode that aired on May 10, 1992 (S8.E21). The story in this one centers around Dr. Hazlitt's friend Ben, an old war buddy long thought dead, coming to Cabot Cove. Doc gets Ben a job as a mechanic at Cabot Cove Boat Works, and when the owner is found dead with $60,000 missing from the company safe, Ben becomes a suspect, and it's up to Jessica to clear him by finding the real killer. Plot lines aside, it's clear that Cabot Cove Boat Works designs, builds, and maintains both commercial and pleasure boats, while also refurbishing and selling boats.
