Description: This design is based on a beautiful painting by William-Adolphe Bouguereau. I really love that Shepherdess painting and wanted to do a homage in my style. Making the shepherdess a grim reaper figure tells a whole different story than the original… Makes it more sinister and macabre. I love the sheep and the innocence of the lamb and how weirdly peaceful the sheep looks while Death is taking away the lamb. I have to thank Bouguereau for painting such a wonderful communication between the figures, he truly was a great master.
