When I saw the Harriss spiral, this is what I thought of. Like every reference, it's not the perfect guide for every face on the planet, but used as a general tool, I like how it lines up. I drew the face side first; the spiral came once all the box guides were in. I didn't want to draw a face that fit the spiral, but rather see how well the spiral fits a mashup of human features. I love where the jaw lines up on the second, smaller spiral, but that's a lot of work just to get one measurement. If you're going to use the second spiral for more than the corner of the jaw, then I would say it's worth it: There are a ton of reference points on this thing. A modern-day blueprint was the idea behind the design, with the hope of showing up nicely under a black light.

Couldn't help but feel a connection between "Stranger Things" and a certain fan favorite classic NES game "Super Mario Bros. 2". Decided to make a nifty graphic mashup kinda homage type thing to slap on a shirt.. Or something.
