Wooden Kitchen Utensils in Watercolor Pencil by Conni Schaftenaar. I love wood. The colors, the grains, the lovely shapes one can make from wood are endlessly fascinating. My husband is also a wood fanatic. We both like to cook and we value good tools. We have two good-sized containers on our kitchen counter just CRAMMED with wooden cooking utensils. I took one of those containers and a selection of my favorite tools and took a photo for reference. I was inspired to do this and a couple of other pieces that celebrate some of our wooden kitchen accoutrements because of a photo I had taken of our lovely wooden salad bowls and used as a reference photo to do a watercolor pencil drawing.
