Earth Station One is a pop-culture Podcast and blog celebrating our love for all things sci-fi, fantasy, comics, and much, much more. During any given Podcast, we never know where our discussions will take us, but we assure you that our Podcasts will be entertaining and that you will enjoy them.
As the name suggests, we’re nerds, or geeks if you prefer. That doesn’t restrict our topics to Star Trek and hyperdrives. Have you ever heard anyone referred to as a [insert hobby here]-geek/nerd? For example, sewing geeks, car geeks, tech geeks, etc. We want to talk about, and to, all of them as well as traditional geek fare, such as cosplay, sci-fi, fantasy, science, TV & movies, conventions, and fandom of all stripes. We’re even hoping to eventually hit topics such as lifestyle design, music, voice acting, life hacks, health and fitness, and the proverbial “much, much more”.

The 42cast is an eclectic round robin show. Most people don’t have just one fandom, and neither do we. In every episode we talk about a new thing that interests us, whether it’s novel, TV show, movie, comic book, or game. We might talk about the hottest new thing to hit stores, or we might talk about an old classic. We keep things fresh by rotating the cast, so that we always have people that really want to talk about whatever we’re going to discuss that week. Sometimes, we’ll vary things up even more and interview some notable figure from the geekisphere.

Cow Getting Abducted by Aliens on UFO. Flying saucer abducting cow. Aliens from outer space were blamed for a spate of cow mutilations in the 1970s. Since then, it seems that extraterrestrials are more careful not to leave evidence of cow abductions. Maybe they've learned how tasty beef is. But in 2009, rancher Mike Duran in Colorado saw strange lights in the sky before finding one of his cows dead. Duran said it was a repeat of an incident from 1995.
