The allegorical sculpture, a shrouded figure, is popularly known as Grief but was titled by the sculptor as The Mystery of the Hereafter and The Peace of God that Passeth Understanding. It used to sit in Druid hill cemetery and was referred to as black aggie. It is an unauthorized copy of he original that sits in Rock Creek Cemetery in DC.
