Description: Garden of Gethsemane on the Mount of Olives (1889) by Vincent van Gogh is a vintage fine art post impressionism landscape nature painting featuring a grove of olive trees. Gethsemane is a garden at the foot of the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, most famous as the place where Jesus Christ and his disciples prayed the night before Jesus's crucifixion. Vincent van Gogh was a Dutch Post-Impressionist painter and one of the most famous painters of his era. His work is noted for its rough beauty, emotional honesty, and bold color.
