I emailed Jake Parker of Inktober fame and he was kind enough to reply. I do 95% of my work digitally and so I asked if it would be ok to do the daily sketch digitally on my iPad. He said it would but that if I wanted to challenge myself and improve as an artist I should try to just use traditional media. I drew the concept in pencil then sketch over that. Challenge accepted.
