On the first Saturday of every May, the genteel citizens of Midgar come together and witness an annual tradition: the Midgar Derby, the fastest minute in sports. Held at Phoenix Downs atop the city's upper plate, a win at the Derby is the highest honor for chocobo breeders and racers across the Planet.
