Jyu-goya is Japanese mid-autumn full moon festival, also called Tsukimi (月見/Tsukimi). The tradition is to decorate house and temples with susuki(pampas grass) and eat mochi(rice cakes) called Tsukimi Dango while watching the full moon.

MEANING OF THE WORK The petals that are coming off her dress are the chances that people, who suffer social anxiety, have lost during their life and cannot bring them back anymore thanks to this disorder. Social Anxiety is disorder that makes you feel trapped inside your skin, that doesn’t able to express yourself at the fullest... it’s like a cage (represented by the dark forest also symbol of our greatest fears). If you see someone who is struggling or you know someone with it, help them. Even an hello could really make a difference.
