Glen Derry, Cairngorms Posters and Art Prints

This panoramic painting comes from one of my many trips to the Cairngorms to climb the Munros. On this occasion I mountain biked to the start of Glen Derry and followed trails through the remnants of the Caledonian forest, before breaking out onto the hill (Beinn Bhreac). This view comes at the start of that climb, where the trees and grass give way to heather slopes. On the left is Derry Cairngorm, and the peak in the distance with the 'barns' (local name for isolated outcrops of rock) is Beinn Mheadhoin - both on Munro's list of Scottish peaks. Painted from my original photographs using oil on board 24x12 inches in size.
