A triskelion or triskele is a motif consisting of a triple spiral exhibiting rotational symmetry. The spiral design can be based on interlocking Archimedean spirals, or represent three bent human legs. It's first known use was in Malta around 4500 BC. It is also found in ancient Irish culture, ancient Greece, Japan, Tibet and elsewhere. This symbol is associated with motion and progression. Read more here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triskelion
