When I heard the Mr. Satoru Iwata, the man who had shaped my entire childhood had passed away. I was so sad for awhile. But I later cheered myself up. Because I know that little bits of him are still alive. through all the games he's had a hand in. I wanted to do the man justice. So here is my Tribute to the late Nintendo President of Japan; Satoru Iwata. The gold symbols represent some of the many games Iwata has worked on during his life. He's also in his icon "Direct" pose from the Nintendo Directs. May Mr. Iwata rest in peace. We will all miss him.

I will miss seeing Mr. Iwata's name scroll by at the end of my games. I will miss his goofy poses during the directs. I will miss all the photos of him and Miyamoto smiling together. I will miss the amazing Iwata Asks interviews. It's pretty rare to get choked up over the passing of a big business CEO, but here we are. I was really bad at games when I was a kid, but Kirby always made me feel like I could do anything. It was Kirby Superstar that really got me into drawing fanart and my game wouldn't exist without it. While game development is certainly a team effort, Satoru Iwata was a big part of what made my childhood. He was also a smaller part of many, MANY other games that I've loved over the years. I hope I've done him justice with this piece.

My tribute to Nintendo President Satoru Iwata. I decided to do this in the low-poly triangle-only style that I've been obsessed with lately. It took a long time, but he gave me so many great games that made a big part of my childhood I thought I should do something. Thanks again Mr. Iwata.

"Kyoto Produce" is my tribute to Nintendo President Satoru Iwata. Iwata-san's work enriched many a childhood (including my own) with fantastical worlds and characters, and continues to entertain and inspire gamers across the globe. His legacy and spirit will live on in our hearts.
