As an artist who likes to draw and paint spooky things, I've mostly stayed away from depicting other people's characters. Then in the summer of 2015 I had this idea to do a series of portraits of characters that I like from movies and books centered around Halloween, and by mid-October I had completed 5. Fast forward to the Spring of 2017 and we have Series 2, featuring all female characters. This is Witch Hazel from Disney's animated cult classic short "Trick or Treat", and Witch Hazel from multiple classic Bugs Bunny cartoons. Which Hazel is your favorite?

As its name suggests, the Necromancer loves the dead. Pray you never see its smile, for if you do, it can only mean your soul has been recalled to this world to serve the Necromancer's nefarious needs.

Autumn doesn't just happen. The Summoner must perform a complex series of incantations and rituals to turn the trees gold and blood red, frost the pumpkins and pave the way for All Hallows Eve.

My lovely wife came up with this concept and I ran with it! Inspired by the image of the Federal Eagle and a child who referred to a crow as a "Halloween eagle".

Commissioned by a haunted attraction in 2008 to commemorate a wedding between two of their actors at the haunted house on Halloween night.
