This is a commission painting I did of the wild donkeys we have at the back of our property. They often pop around for treats like carrots, grass or apples. The commission request was for a mother donkey and her child. So I painted a gold background with a gold foil halo for the Madonna.

I live in Barrydale in the Klein Karoo, South Africa, and am inspired on a daily basis by the beautiful flowers and critters we have here. These bumblebees live in our bamboo reeds and can be seen buzzing all around my garden, they especially love the lavender bushes.

Maurice, the pug, was made out of layers of upcycled cardboard boxes to give him that 3D look. Then he was painted with acrylic. He's a cute little French dog who's worried about looking uncomely in his new outfit.

Pigeon Investigator Holmes was hand painted and cut out of layers of cardboard to give him that 3D feel. The design says, "Pigeon Investigator Holmes was conducting his investigation going on the crumbs his client had left. Holmes was keeping abreast of the case."
