Description: On my birthday, I was inspired to set up a still life with a piece of my birthday cake. It was a fun project to find bits and pieces for the still life and then to paint the cake quickly so my 6yo could eat it. :) All the while I painted the piece of cake Tim kept asking if he could eat it yet and please hurry up mummy! It proved to be a challenge when the cake was gone and there was a hole so to speak in my still life. It's amazing how colours affect each other. Genesis heat set oils on 40cm x 30cm stretched canvas.

Description: Persimmons…yummy. Those words must be synonyms along with wonderful neighbours who give you some persimmons off their tree! This morning, I cut the lovely soft fruit and then placed them onto a plate and painted, from life. Such a joy! :) I love it!

Description: Our raspberry plant is fruiting at the present, and I just love the look of these gorgeous, delectable, bite size bits of yumminess. :) I lined them all up on my bench took some photos and just had to paint them, and then, well let's just say they tasted delicious! ;)
